SLIM® slim patch cables provide a solution to a wide range of cabling challenges. Although visually similar to ribbon cables, SLIM patch cables meet Category 6 specifications and are therefore suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. Three SLIM patch cables take up the same diameter as a single standard CAT6 patch cable. Despite its extremely thin design, the cable features individually twisted wire pairs. It also has a wide, flexible latch protector and a handy length marking at both ends, and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE according to IEEE802.3af).

Typical applications for SLIM patch cables:

Overcrowded server or network cabinets or cable ducts
Telephone panels or switches with high port densities: with very short cables you can easily patch from switch to switch or switch to panel without a cable management panel
Connecting VoIP phones, as the cables are extremely flexible and therefore easy to route on a desk
